Job Opening: Senior Design Verification Engineer at Chipmonk Consulting

We are excited to announce an open position for a Senior Design Verification Engineer in our dynamic and rapidly growing ASIC team at Chipmonk Consulting. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the development and verification of ASICs for our revolutionary next-generation firewall products.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including software, architecture, design, and verification, to develop comprehensive pre-silicon verification plans that span simulation, emulation, and formal verification.
  • Execute all aspects of simulation test plans using advanced coverage-driven, constrained-random methodologies.
  • Develop workflows, methodologies, and infrastructure for emulation. Run and debug emulation tests in close collaboration with system architects, software engineers, and ASIC designers.
  • Define new tools and methodologies for continuous improvement in quality and velocity.
  • Create robust Python programs to automate tasks like coverage closure, triage, and metrics-driven verification.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 year’s experience in ASIC design verification, with a proven track record of multiple ASIC products from conception to mass production.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Experience in defining test plans, developing functional coverage models, creating scalable test benches, implementing self-checking infrastructure with reference models and scoreboards, and developing reusable constrained-random tests.
  • Experience in networking and cybersecurity, formal property verification, and silicon validation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, Perl, and UNIX shell scripting to automate verification tasks, particularly regression testing.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
