Chips we saved on X, photos and blueprints of the boards, the cited apps mapped onto VE projects, and a priced wishlist.
Espressif’s line is ESP32, then letter-and-number variants (S3, C3, C5, C6, P4, H2). A search for “ESP5 microcontroller” on X returned nothing. Two real things get abbreviated that way in conversation:
Scanned 1,333 bookmarks. MiniMax “M3” and NVIDIA-the-company posts are not chips. What we actually saved:

This is the board in the radio-station build we saved: Wi-Fi poll every 20s, hold-to-talk mic, e-paper “broadcast console.”

Screen + mic + speaker + buttons. The LLM is not on the chip. Cloud STT / LLM / TTS (XiaoZhi, ElatoAI). Polish the enclosure and the same BOM is a $79 desk toy.
Handheld
Keyboard + 1.14″ screen + battery. Mesh kit adds LoRa (Cap LoRa-1262) for Meshtastic. We already have an onboard/flash skill for Cardputer and Core-family ESP32. Mesh kit was listed backorder at M5Stack; Adv units on AliExpress.
ESP32-C5 · not Tab5
ESP32-C5, Wi-Fi 6, 16 MB flash, 8 MB PSRAM, 1.9″ ST7789. This week’s pocket Wi-Fi/BLE scanner project. Buy this only if the job is RF tooling, not a tablet demo.
The silicon is a few dollars. The product is the face, the audio path, and whoever pays the cloud bill.
